Terrible Owner

The owner of this establishment is highly unprofessional. I was actually an employee from the months of september- january. I have worked at a different boarding facility for 3 years and never had an issue. I treat animals and customers with the upmost respect and care. Leslie Wright( the owner) does not value her employees or customers. I have seen many a times her call customers greedy, evil, and the devil. I actually was called those things too unprovoked as I have put my best for forward throughout my employment. I have witnessed her yell and be disrespectful to an employee who worked there for years to the point where he quit. I have also been a victim of those foul words as well. I was called ungrateful, evil, selfish, and the devil with no rhyme or reason. I was accused of stealing and overall just dealing with some very passive aggressive behavior from the owner. I’m not sure if it was because i was of different race or young but i did nothing to provoke that type of response. I had no issues with any other employees and was left alone a lot to handle the business on my own. Any customer who knows me can attest to the amount of care and effort I put into each dog. There is also some frowned upon practices taking place and I noticed them upon working there. I have seen her drug dogs without consent and i have also witnessed her using shock collars on unruly dogs. Anybody who works with animals knows there will be excessive barking at times and i don’t agree with the use of that technique. She also grooms dogs in a very stressful environment and gives dogs opportunities to jump up and nip at the animals while being groomed. I’ve witnessed many injuries as she allows small dogs to be around big dogs. There’s excessive dust everywhere and dogs were contracting kennel cough and they were still having them around other dogs. I just do not like how this owner treats people and their animals. She up charges on many occasions and I have had to deal with customers cost on my own. If you are looking to work here i wouldn’t recommend as she is quick to fire someone for no reason and then call them all types of disrespectful names. I actually was threatened with no pay when i was terminated and when I came just to have a conversation with her she called the authorities on me. That just goes to show how much she will value you as an employee and a person. I’ve seen her get physical with animals even punching one in the nose. A little wordy but hopefully whoever thinks about working at this place will read this and take there skills elsewhere
